Two of my favorite trends of the season (trend alert!): heart earrings and lace up booties! These pearl embellished earrings are from H&M and are so fun and Valentine’s Day appropriate! The coat is a classic from Sandro, and I adore these croc-embossed lace up booties with a chunky heel. Perfect for one of my final West Village strolls 🙂
One of my favorite things about dressing for the fall season is…houndstooth! I love a good houndstooth print, and I particularly loved this dress (which is 9 years old!) because it was mixed with sexy black lace at the top. I kept the look “fall” with burgundy velvet lace-up booties. What is more fall than burgundy and velvet?! I completed the look with my this-season smaller cateye sunglasses to keep my style downtown and edgy.
I can’t believe it’s almost holiday party season!

Last Sunday I returned from an incredible nearly 2 week vacation in France! I met one of my best friends, Gwen, in Aix-en-Provence, and we road-tripped through the south. She was the photographer for all of these pics (thanks Gwen!) When I saw this one-shoulder swingy cotton dress, it screamed “Provence” to me! I love the striped pattern and the subtle bow detail on the shoulder. I am very into tea length dresses (trend alert!) this season. I completed the look with my favorite lace up espadrilles (they are 12 years old, from Banana Republic!), a red lip, dainty gold rings, and cat-eye sunglasses.
Aix-en-Provence was so charming, and one of my favorite places we visited. The lavendar fields also had me feeling like I was in The Sound of Music!

Red, white, and nude…one of my favorite color combinations because it really allows the red to “pop”. I bought this red leather jacket at Maje earlier in the spring, and it’s been a perfect transitional piece to wear into the fall. I love wearing it draped over my shoulders, and this white tie-front dress is perfect for layering. These nude lace-up cage sandals are the perfect complement for any look with a statement piece (but they are a little hard to put on!) I got them for my 26th birthday, so they are going on 3 years and I still love them. I also may own them in black, and you may be seeing them soon! I completed the look with mirrored clear sunnies (trend alert) and dark “Wicked” nail polish by Essie.
My birthday is tomorrow, and I am enjoying NYC’s 70 degree weather 🙂
There is nothing more summery to me than a summer sundress! As soon as I laid my eyes on this bright whimsical floral print, I knew I had to have it. I love the yellow, the drop waist, and the subtle high low hem. I kept this look simple and casual by pairing it with my favorite metallic gladiator lace up sandals. I believe that metallics are the equivalent of neutrals. A sundress, like this one, is a closet staple to me because you can dress it up and down. If I switched into heels this look would be cocktail party ready.
It’s been fall like weather all weekend so far, but that won’t stop me from wearing a few final summer looks! Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day holiday!
Below is one more look from my trip to Montauk a few weekends ago. It was my first time to Montauk, and now that I have been I feel like I know more of what the “style” is there. This look would have fit in better in Southampton 😉 Regardless, there is nothing more summery than white jeans. They are so clean and fresh and chic! Plus, you can pair them with so many fun tops…they are like a canvas! For this reason, I consider them a closet staple. I paired my white jeans with a favorite scalloped edge (trend alert!) top that I almost wore for the 4th of July. I love the feminine detailing of the scalloped trim, and I have also loved all of the scalloped detailing we saw on bathing suits this season (Marysia swimwear, anyone?)
I completed this look with white cat-eye shades to make the red top “pop”, and gold metallic star lace-up sandals. Even though our first day was gloomy, it was such a fun weekend.
It’s officially romper season! I started warming up to this trend about two summers ago, but now I am a huge fan! I love that rompers can come in all different kinds of fabrics and styles, I think that the one I am wearing below could even be described as “sophisticated”. I love the interesting V-shaped neckline, ruffle detail, and the fun mix-and-match prints (the tiny star-print top matches the stars on the sandals). It was a sunny and beautiful 75 degree day in NYC this weekend, so I paired this romper with my trusty gold aviators and gold star lace-up sandals. It was the perfect, easy outfit for bopping about the Upper East Side with my cousin, Nancy!
In my opinion, a jumpsuit is a romper with pant legs, while a romper has short bottoms.
It is spring in New York City. Here is the final batch of photos from my shoot with Tom Naples Photography a few weeks ago. I have also added in some candids. We actually saw another fashion blogger shooting on these courthouse steps. We though it was such a cool spot that we copied her, when she was finished of course! A few weeks ago I saw this top at ZARA and had to have it. I love a black and white chic look, and the off the shoulder (trend alert!) is so flattering and sexy without showing too much skin. I paired it with my favorite flared jeans, some killer strappy heels, a headband to add some youth, and a bright red lip. I haven’t worn flared denim in a while- I tend to stick to a skinnier pant leg these days, but flared denim is incredibly flattering and elongates your legs. The 70s knew a thing or two about fashion! These strappy heels are some of my favorites. They look like Jimmy Choos, but they were actually a $45 steal…
Tom’s gallery can be found here. Isn’t he amazing?
