Bahamas: Calypso Embroidered Cover-Up & Metallic Star Sandals

Today I am testing out a new format! I just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Bahamas with my friend Jeni. For the trip, I packed some of my favorite resort wear pieces! When I saw this gorgeous Calypso colorful embroidered and beaded tassel tie-front cover-up (that was a lot!) I had to have it. Calypso is one of my favorite resort wear brands, there stuff is so beautiful. I paired the look with my classic Panama hat, gold star lace up sandals (a Forever21 knockoff of Loeffler Randall), and cat eye sunglasses. A few girls even complemented me on the sandals when I was in line for wrist bands. I felt very glamorous and pool ready!

Jersey Dress & White Sneakers

It’s 81 degrees right now in NYC! It’s the perfect opportunity for me to wear one of my favorite easy jersey dresses, a closet staple. I love the navy blue color, the high neckline, and peekaboo back on this one. It’s so cute and simple with fresh white sneakers (trend alert!). I completed the look by pairing it with a suede crossbody bag and cat-eye sunglasses. I love the jeweled fringe detail on this bag. It’s just the right amount of detail and sparkle to spice up an otherwise simple outfit.

AppNexus Gatsby 1920s Party at the McKittrick Hotel

This year, my company, AppNexus celebrated its 10 year anniversary. To celebrate, they allowed us to have a Plus 1, so I brought one of my best friends who came in all the way from London: GRACIE! The theme was Gatsby and 1920s, and I was excited to dress up for the theme and had so much fun. I ordered this headpiece from eBay! They also sold it on Amazon, it’s an exact replica of one that was worn in the Gatsby film. I ordered the dress from French Connection (believe it or not). I had my eye on it for a while because I loved the fringe and the sparkly gorgeous detailing, and when this theme was announced I had to get it! It was perfect for the party, and I also would wear it again to a different cocktail party, wedding, etc. I completed the look with an old black ostrich feather bolero, and sexy strappy platform sandals- which made the ensemble a little bit 2017 🙂

Crop Top, Fringe Jeans, Mules, & Draped Leather Jacket

Last week my ballerina cousin Nancy took me as her plus 1 to the Ballet Beautiful book launch party. The event was held in the cutest hideaway space in Meatpacking, called Fort Gansevoort. Attire was “Ballerina Chic”, but I didn’t want to embarrass Nancy with my tulle skirt! I opted for my favorite piece of the moment: my red Maje leather moto jacket. I paired it with a black crop top (it was in the 70s in October!) and ombre fringe jeans (trend alert) that I am really into now. I love pairing them with my pearl studded mules. I completed the look with my trusty ear jackets for a very edgy, downtown look. Lately, I have been loving wearing my leather jackets draped over my shoulders; it gives me an instant “pulled together” look and feel.

Mint Fringe Cover-Up

I wish it was still this weekend! My friend Jeni graciously hosted us on her amazing sailboat in Long Island, and it was a blast, per usual. We have had an absolutely gorgeous September and it was 85 degrees on Saturday! I opted for a simple, elegant, chic look: black string bikini, mint fringe cover-up from LulaRoe, Panama hat, clear mirrored sunnies, and a low messy bun. I love the mint color of the cover-up, and that it is a sheer robe. Also, the soft pink fringe at the bottom is such a nice detail! I love this effortless, easy breezy look!

Bettye Collaboration with Shoe Designer Abbey Liebman

Hi guys! I am super, super excited to post the first of a 4 part collaboration series with shoe designer, Abbey Liebman for Bettye’s Fall ’17 Collection! Bettye shoes come in a variety of styles (as you will soon see!) I loved the process of this collaboration…from visiting her design studio, to looking at samples, to seeing the vintage and inspirational shoes she uses. In this first post, I am wearing rose-gold tassel loafer mules (slides…trend alert!) and Abbey is wearing black platform peep toe booties. I opted for an all black look, pairing my new favorite raw hem jeans (trend alert) with a black Marc Jacobs jacket I have had for 10 years (classics never go out)! These mules also come in black and burgundy- I am a big fan of burgundy for fall. Abbey opted for a downtown edgy look. It was a hot, sunny day shooting throughout the West Village and Greenwich Village. HUGE props to our photographer extraordinaire,  Alex Van, for capturing so many amazing pictures and for having an eye for locations!

Also, Abbey was just named the shoe designer for Bettye Muller shoes, so I have a feeling there might be more collaborations in the future 😉

LulaRoe Classic Tee

There aren’t many more days left this summer where I can wear white jeans! This classic tee goes perfectly with the white denim, and it’s such an easy look. The tee is from LulaRoe and is so cozy and comfy! It’s also great for layering. I paired the pretty teal color with my favorite orange fringe necklace (trend alert…last summer ha!) I love the “yoga” vibes from the necklace. I completed the look with my favorite espadrille wedges.

Tropical Destination Wedding Look: Part 1

Two weekends ago I traveled to beautiful St. Croix for my friends Natalia and Tom’s wedding. I have a lot of good memories in St. Croix, and I brought my travel buddy Alex as my plus 1. (Last year she brought me to Santorini…we travel well together ha). For the wedding, I knew I would want to wear something tropical and resort wear style. I had my eye on this dress all last summer at ZARA (I know…) and in August I scooped it up. I love the bright yellow hue, the winged, cape sleeves, and most of all the open back. A lady’s back is one of my favorite areas to show off, especially when you’re tan! You don’t need cleavage to be sexy- focus on the other side! I paired this dress with my favorite black fringe statement earrings, from H&M. Tropical destination ready! Thanks to Alex for taking my pics this weekend. More to come.
