Crop Top, Fringe Jeans, Mules, & Draped Leather Jacket

Last week my ballerina cousin Nancy took me as her plus 1 to the Ballet Beautiful book launch party. The event was held in the cutest hideaway space in Meatpacking, called Fort Gansevoort. Attire was “Ballerina Chic”, but I didn’t want to embarrass Nancy with my tulle skirt! I opted for my favorite piece of the moment: my red Maje leather moto jacket. I paired it with a black crop top (it was in the 70s in October!) and ombre fringe jeans (trend alert) that I am really into now. I love pairing them with my pearl studded mules. I completed the look with my trusty ear jackets for a very edgy, downtown look. Lately, I have been loving wearing my leather jackets draped over my shoulders; it gives me an instant “pulled together” look and feel.

OTK Boots & Bell Sleeves

My favorite thing about fall is fall fashion, if you don’t count candy corn. This fall, there are a few trends that I am loving: OTK (over the knee) boots and bell sleeves. OTK boots are very bold, and I wasn’t sure if I could pull them off. I have found that I love pairing them with mini dresses, like this Parker mini with ruffled bell sleeves. I love the ivory color and the beautiful cloth buttons. One of my best friends, Alex, completed the hippie-chic, boho inspired look with milkmaid braids and dreamy fall makeup. We shot the photos from this post in Lincoln Center, which was really fun even though it was rainy. If you need someone to do your makeup, let me know and I will put you in touch with Alex. She is the absolute best and can work with pretty much any type of makeup (you should see how many makeup brushes she owns!) Also, if you are thinking about getting OTK boots, get them.

Valentine’s Day Party Dress

Last night one of my best friends and I attended the Skinnygirl Spicy Lime Margarita Launch Party, red cocktail dress required! I love parties that have fun attire themes, and lucky for me, the red theme justified a splurge I made over the holidays on a drop waist Diane Von Furstenberg dress. It’s still cold outside, so I accessorized with fun black polka dot tights, and classic patent leather pumps. I styled my hair in a top knot, and I accessorized with some sparkly jewelry. The event was so glamorous and fun: the entire cast of the Real Housewives of New York City was there to support host Bethenny Frankel. I also chatted with Jax Taylor from “Vanderpump Rules” and Chris Bukowski from “The Bachelor” (super friendly and sweet).

Yes, I actually stole a rose from one of the centerpieces and asked Bachelor Chris if he would accept it in exchange for a pic! He blushed a little…

The cocktails were delicious, the deejay was great (I especially loved when the Housewives started dancing on chairs) and I loved the decor and Valentine’s Day theme of the event. It’s safe to say that last night was one of the best nights I have had in New York.

Enjoy some the Valentine’s Day inspired outfit photos below, in addition to some crazy party pics from throughout the night!
