Two of my favorite trends of the season (trend alert!): heart earrings and lace up booties! These pearl embellished earrings are from H&M and are so fun and Valentine’s Day appropriate! The coat is a classic from Sandro, and I adore these croc-embossed lace up booties with a chunky heel. Perfect for one of my final West Village strolls 🙂
One of my favorite closet staple pieces and the first part in a two part series is about this black faux leather quilted skirt! I got this skirt about 7 years ago (when I was still in college!) and it’s been such a versatile piece in my wardrobe. In my blog moving forward, I am going to try to focus more on sustainable fashion and styling the same piece multiple ways. I love an all black look (c’mon, I’m a New Yorker). I kept it interesting with embroidered booties (trend alert) that are one of my favorite fall accessories! I love the gold embroidered pattern, the chunky block heel, and the height of these booties. I accessorized with my favorite gold watch, gold delicate star necklace and whimsical black heart sunglasses!
These photographs were professionally shot by my friend Jenna Minchuk. Check out her beautiful website to book her: Jennaminchuk.com.

Even though it’s October, it was still 80 degrees today in NYC! This makes it a little bit confusing when dressing. When the weather transitions from summer to fall, warm to cool, I like to ease the transition with a sundress and layer a leather jacket over my shoulders. Leather jackets are super versatile, and I think that they are closet staples. I like the way they look so effortlessly chic when they are draped over your shoulders. I love the color of this faux leather dove gray jacket. I layered the jacket over a floral pleated racerback mini dress. I completed the look with two trending accessories: pearl block heel sandals (trend alert!) and slanted cat-eye sunglasses (trend alert)!
I am missing last Sunday’s wedding in Lancaster, Pennsylvania! This is the “dusty sage” (seafoam green) lace dress I wore as a wedding guest. I think that an understated colored lace dress is always a safe bet for a wedding. I love the sexy low back on this one, the spaghetti straps, and the mock halter front. I paired the look with neutral (blush) block-heel sandals with pearl embellishment (trend alert!). I love how these colors blended together. I completed the look with a bright red lip and dangly classic pearl drop earrings.

All of last week I checked the forecast for Saturday– the day of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, and it was rain rain rain. Then Saturday rolled around and there was no rain! It was just one of the hottest days I can remember…85 degrees with a beating sun! This was my first time at the event, and it was held on Liberty Island, just off of Manhattan. I met some girlfriends in Soho and we headed down! It was so hot, that when we were standing in the champagne line the guy standing behind us offered us paper towels to blot off our sweaty skin and dripping hair (eww).
For the event, I knew I wanted to wear a cute sundress that I wouldn’t mind getting a little dirty. I opted for this gingham (trend alert!) off-the-shoulder (trend alert!) and embroidered eyelet (trend alert!) number. I completed the look with a preppy boat hat, mirrored sunnies, comfy block-heeled sandals, and a springy coral lip!
Heading to another horse event tomorrow…The Belmont!
Last weekend I traveled to Windsor, UK for the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle! It was so surreal to see the massive castle, and there was such a special light-hearted energy in the air. My friend lives in Windsor, so she hosted a fabulous hat (fascinator) party with lots of her friends. For the occasion, I wore a silk blush pink (trend alert!) hand-pleated Tibi dress (I love all things pleats) with a high neckline and a waist tie. I chose this dress because the attire for the party was “long summery dress”. I own tons of dresses, but not many of them are long! I also liked the slight waterfall hem on this dress- the back is a little bit longer than the front. I paired the look with a black netted and feathered fascinator. Being an American, it was super fun to pretend to be British for a day by dressing up! I kept the look simple with diamond studs and my trusty black block-heel sandals.
This past weekend I traveled to Miami for the first time for my friend Molly’s bachelorette party. When I saw this Kate Spade dress a few weeks ago in New York, I knew I had to get it for the trip. The bright colors and fun geo border pattern seemed so “Miami”! The dress is so fun and reminds me of a pinata. It had great movement and was very swingy and fun to wear. I kept the look simple with strappy black sandals, and a delicate gold evil-eye necklace. These pictures were taken on the boardwalk, and at the Faena hotel. This hotel has the most gorgeous lobby and bar area…it feels like a museum! Definitely a must-stop when you visit Miami.
I wore this dress out for the day, but it could easily be dressed up for a cocktail occasion with the right heels and accessories.
I had a super special NYE this year: I traveled to Israel for the wedding of my friends Alejandro and Maya! It was a beautiful wedding and evening. When packing for this trip, I wasn’t sure what to wear for a NYE wedding…in Israel…but I figured that I couldn’t go wrong with a black sparkly (NYE, duhh!) jersey sleeveless dress. I love all of the sparkly pailettes, and that this dress is very easy to wear. I kept this look easy and comfortably by pairing it with my trusty black strappy block-heeled sandals. I can walk, and dance, miles in these shoes…literally! I have had this black dress for 7 years, and I have worn it on several other NYE, and it is a classic dress that I can wear over and over again.
It’s mid September and we have had an 80 degree weather streak…and I will take it! More days for me to wear my favorite crop top (trend alert) and bold striped pants (trend alert) ! I love these wide leg pants / culottes. They are so comfy, closing at my waist, and they “swish” when I walk! At first glance, it looks like I am wearing a pleated skirt. I also love the cut of this crop top…the high neck is so flattering and I like that it is not too short either (I wish I had bought a few pairs). I paired this outfit with my trusty gold aviators, Rebecca Minkoff black bag, and block heeled strappy sandals.
I was wearing this outfit when I met the ultimate fashion blogger, Chiara Ferragni…thank goodness I had something cute on! These pictures are taken in my hood, in one of my favorite parks, Washington Square Park. This look is very edgy and “downtown”, while also being sophisticated.
It was such an honor (and so much FUN) to be a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s weddings in France. She was the most relaxed bride ever! She let all of her bridesmaid pick whatever dress they wanted to wear. She said “Wear your favorite dress!” (how cool). I opted for this strapless soft dove gray tulle dress by Jenny Yoo, because I love tulle and this was a good excuse to wear it. All of the bridesmaids got our hair done at a charming local hair salon. There were two women doing hair, who spoke very little English, and an older lady in the salon who was very amused by all of the bridesmaids. One of my favorite memories is when the photographer (one of the other bridesmaid’s brothers) had to translate “bigger curls” to the hair dresser for another bridesmaid. I picked these wildflowers for my hair, and was pretty pleased with the turnout. You instantly feel more special when you have flowers in your hair! I paired my dress with my black strappy block sandals. They are the perfect height to walk easily (or dance!) and I wore them the entire night. The block heel also came in handy for an outdoor wedding.
The final picture is of the bride and her father in a carriage on their way to the chapel. I miss this fairytale French wedding!
