Itâs almost bathing suit season! Here in Aruba, the season has already arrived. Besides the fact that they are easy to pack, right now I am really into âmix and matchâ bikinis. Basically, this means that I invest in several different bikini top and bottom separates, and I can combine them to create different bathing suit looks. I recommend investing in either a solid top or bottom, and then you can spice up the opposite piece with a fun print or another complementary solid color.
For Aruba, I bought this amazing black bandeau top. It also comes with a halter strap which is great for support/a different look, although I donât like tan lines so I barely have worn it with the strap! With this black top, I bought three different bottoms to mix and match. The first bottom is turquoise with flirty ruching on the bottom (I find this look really flattering on pretty much all women). I also bought a turquoise and white polka dot bottom for a more playful look. My favorite part of this bottom is the unexpected cute bow at the back! Finally, I purchased a classic coral string bikini bottom with gold detailing. I think that the black, coral and gold work really well together. Also, I find that string bikinis are really practical because you can always adjust them to fit your body. Generally, I find that the longer the string, the more flattering the string bottom.
The tie-dye bikini at the end of this post is not mix and match, but how fun is it? I love the wire dip at the bust, and the fringe on the bottom is so playful.
Enjoy some of the beautiful ocean and pool pictures from Aruba where these bikinis were put to good use!
