Miami (Part 2): Two-Piece Lilly Pulitzer Crop-Top and Midi Skirt Set

One of my favorite trends for this summer is matching two-piece sets! They usually involve some flavor of a crop top, and a matching skirt. While this set at first glance appears to be a dress, it is actually a ruffled crop-top and skirt. I love the Lilly Pulitzer classic tropical colors- it was too perfect for Miami! Miami also has a certain glitz and glamour, so I paired the look with comfortable Jimmy Choo wedges (which I have owned for almost 10 years), as well as a dainty gold evil-eye necklace and a gold watch. I completed the look with a sun-kissed tan 😉

These photos were taken at Soho Beach House’s Italian restaurant Cecconi’s. It was pretty magical.

Montauk Beach Day: Halter Double-Slit Maxi Dress

I purchased this maxi halter dress at the start of the summer, and I could not wait to wear it in the Hamptons! I love the neutral colors, the subtle tie-dye, and most of all the double-slit. I paired this dress with a bright pink triangle bikini, and new cat-eye white sunglasses (had been crushing on white sunnies all summer). This was my first trip to Montauk, and it was an absolute blast.

Tropical Destination Wedding Look: Part 2

For the second part of the tropical destination wedding series here, I wanted to focus on beach wear! I love this gorgeous, beaded, and sheer cover up that I lounged around in all day at the beach the day of the wedding. It is just the right amount of skin for a beach tunic, and the beading and mirror beads feel so exotic. I paired this intricate cover up with a straw brimmed Panama hat and a favorite pair of gold rimmed sunglasses. No shoes needed! I think that every woman should have at least one go to beach tunic or cover up for the beach or the pool…it’s a closet staple. As an added bonus, on the day I wore this tunic I saw baby sea turtles hatching on the beach! It was absolutely amazing. This tunic is good luck.

Festival Fever

Festival fever is definitely in the air! Even though I haven’t been able to attend any festivals this year (yet!) I have been majorly inspired by festival fashion blowing up my social media accounts. Festival fashion. It’s a thing!

I’ve picked out some of my favorite festival pieces, from head to toe, in the images below. From flower crowns and headpieces to metallic tattoo jewelry, crochet or tie-dye, festival fashion is pretty fabulous. Although I am beyond obsessed with the Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals below, realistically they would get ruined in the inevitable mud-pits and your feet would be stomped on. (Plus, tan lines, people). Booties may be more practical.

Three words: Velvet Fringe Kimono.

Enjoy!

Mix & Match Bikinis

It’s almost bathing suit season! Here in Aruba, the season has already arrived. Besides the fact that they are easy to pack, right now I am really into “mix and match” bikinis. Basically, this means that I invest in several different bikini top and bottom separates, and I can combine them to create different bathing suit looks. I recommend investing in either a solid top or bottom, and then you can spice up the opposite piece with a fun print or another complementary solid color.

For Aruba, I bought this amazing black bandeau top. It also comes with a halter strap which is great for support/a different look, although I don’t like tan lines so I barely have worn it with the strap! With this black top, I bought three different bottoms to mix and match. The first bottom is turquoise with flirty ruching on the bottom (I find this look really flattering on pretty much all women). I also bought a turquoise and white polka dot bottom for a more playful look. My favorite part of this bottom is the unexpected cute bow at the back! Finally, I purchased a classic coral string bikini bottom with gold detailing. I think that the black, coral and gold work really well together. Also, I find that string bikinis are really practical because you can always adjust them to fit your body. Generally, I find that the longer the string, the more flattering the string bottom.

The tie-dye bikini at the end of this post is not mix and match, but how fun is it? I love the wire dip at the bust, and the fringe on the bottom is so playful.

Enjoy some of the beautiful ocean and pool pictures from Aruba where these bikinis were put to good use!
