Halloween House West Village Stroll: Oversized Coat and Edgy Buckle Boots to Explore the Decorations

Happy Halloween!!! This is my favorite season in the West Village, because all of the big fancy brownstones compete with each other over who has the most ostentatious, over-the-top decorations! I went for a lovely weekend stroll with my friend Gracie and her visiting friend Angela. Below are a few of my favorite houses!

For our downtown walking tour, I wore my new favorite edgy buckle boots and a new oversized Rebecca Minkoff double breasted peacoat.

Which decorated house is your favorite? I think I like the one with all of the white pumpkins and cats! This house does the same decoration every year, it’s their thing!

Cotton Candy Coat

It’s springtime in February! How glorious has this entire weekend been? This coat was a bit of a trend splurge last fall, which I don’t usually recommend, but it’s just so FUN! Last year’s teddy bear coat has made it to a second season! I wore it out on Friday night, and my girlfriends called it a “Carrie Bradshaw coat”. A few boys told me “your coat is…wonderful” and “your coat looks like cotton candy”. I loved this description so much that it is the new namesake of this post. My boyfriend thinks this coat is silly (re: Man Repeller ha) but I tell him that I make the streets of NYC interesting and fun and give something to delight the people outside! I paired the coat with a favorite pair of gray stretchy skinny jeans, my black Rebecca Minkoff envelope cross-body bag, my go-to tortoise-shell sunnies, and brand new burgundy Chloe moto boots (completely obsessed with these). I love the femininity of the coat, especially when paired with the edgier and more rugged moto boots.

Holiday Party Part 2: StyleWe Collaboration

I can’t believe it’s already towards the end of December, and the holidays are upon us once again! I have teamed up with one of my favorite design stores to pick a few of my favorite holiday looks! Today I am featuring one of their unique designers, Demi, who has created a line called D. Fanni. You can explore her full collection and find this StyleWe designer here. Below I have selected three of my favorite designs of hers. The first design is this beautiful deep blue military-style coat. I love the button detailing, and I think that this would be fun to accessorize. This coat screams “winter” fashion! The second design I love is this whimsical dress with twirling ladies all over it. I am a sucker for fun prints, and this dress would be the talk of the holiday party! The third look of D. Fanni’s I think would be great for the holidays is this twist on a little red dress- I love the intricate and unusual black lace detailing and cutouts. I would pair it with sky high black patent leather stilettos to complete the look.

You can check out more looks and read further StyleWe reviews here.
