A ravishing red dress with ostrich feathers was only appropriate for a castle wedding at Oheka Castle on Long Island. This castle was stunning, and absolutely a dream come true as I have always wanted to visit. I truly felt like I was living in a fairytale with my friend Jeni. This dress is by French designer Paule Ka, and the feathery (ostrich feather) sleeves are removable via a snap! I am not completely into the cold shoulder trend anymore, but this one is just so whimsical. I got so many complements on this dress (the feathers!) at the wedding…at least 6 people! I completed the look with gold accessories. I also got my hair cut and styled before this wedding. I had a blast at this spectacular wedding!
My cousin Sarah got married last Saturday in the most beautiful vineyard wedding in Traverse City, Michigan! For the occasion, I knew that I would need to be careful about my footwear choice as there was grass. I decided to go with one of my favorite seven year old (!) pleated maxi dresses that I bought in Thailand. I don’t wear maxi dresses too often, but I do enjoy them. I like the summery bright colorblock on this one! Also, it allowed me to wear flat gold sandals…perfect for grass and allowed me to happily dance the night away! I accessorized with gold earrings, my gold watch, my quilted Chanel bag with gold hardware, and my trusty heart sunglasses. I am wishing it was last weekend!
Today I am testing out a new format! I just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Bahamas with my friend Jeni. For the trip, I packed some of my favorite resort wear pieces! When I saw this gorgeous Calypso colorful embroidered and beaded tassel tie-front cover-up (that was a lot!) I had to have it. Calypso is one of my favorite resort wear brands, there stuff is so beautiful. I paired the look with my classic Panama hat, gold star lace up sandals (a Forever21 knockoff of Loeffler Randall), and cat eye sunglasses. A few girls even complemented me on the sandals when I was in line for wrist bands. I felt very glamorous and pool ready!
With Thanksgiving officially behind us, it’s now one of my favorite seasons of the year: Holiday Party Season! I love this time of year because it’s totally okay to wear all things sparkly and shiny. I have six holiday parties over the next two weeks, and I plan to repeat-wear the below outfit to a few of them. I adore this pleated metallic (trend alert) Rebecca Taylor skirt, and dove gray ruffle sleeve Endless Rose sweater (from two years ago). I completed the look with a red lip- perfect for holiday parties (or any time of year!) and my favorite ankle strap PVC heels. This look is conservative and would also be perfect for a work holiday party!
Who else is excited for the holidays?!
One of my favorite closet staple pieces and the first part in a two part series is about this black faux leather quilted skirt! I got this skirt about 7 years ago (when I was still in college!) and it’s been such a versatile piece in my wardrobe. In my blog moving forward, I am going to try to focus more on sustainable fashion and styling the same piece multiple ways. I love an all black look (c’mon, I’m a New Yorker). I kept it interesting with embroidered booties (trend alert) that are one of my favorite fall accessories! I love the gold embroidered pattern, the chunky block heel, and the height of these booties. I accessorized with my favorite gold watch, gold delicate star necklace and whimsical black heart sunglasses!

Is there anything better than an October Saturday morning stroll in Soho? Not in my book! One of my best friends, Nicky, and I went for a walk this morning and the fall festive decorations were in full swing. There were so many gorgeous pumpkins everywhere! It is still warm enough to get away without wearing a jacket, so I opted for this beautiful drop-waist floral pleated dress. I love that this dress has a navy base color, which makes it very transitional and perfect for fall. I also am a pleat-lover, so was immediately attracted to it! I love to keep a look edgy by mixing feminine pieces with tougher masculine pieces– such as these leather studded combat boots. It’s unexpected and “toughens” the look up, making it perfect for downtown Manhattan. I completed the look with my favorite cat-eye sunglasses, and my trusty silver embossed leather Rochas bucket bag!
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

I love beautiful details on pieces, especially if it’s unexpected and a “surprise” on the back! The backs of clothes are seen as much as the fronts of clothes if you think about it, so it’s fun to give people something to look at- even if your face is on the other side! I bought this beautiful silk back pleated top last year and I love it. It’s a great neutral creme color, and a staple for work. The accordion-style pleats are so flowy and gorgeous. I kept the look simple by pairing it with raw hem gray denim (can’t believe it’s jean season again!), Zara gold cap-toe pumps, a matching gold watch, and my brand new heart shaped sunglasses (trend alert!). I love how whimsical these sunglasses are and have been wearing them nearly every day. They will be featured in a few upcoming posts!
Happy October, everyone!
One of my favorite trends for this summer is matching two-piece sets! They usually involve some flavor of a crop top, and a matching skirt. While this set at first glance appears to be a dress, it is actually a ruffled crop-top and skirt. I love the Lilly Pulitzer classic tropical colors- it was too perfect for Miami! Miami also has a certain glitz and glamour, so I paired the look with comfortable Jimmy Choo wedges (which I have owned for almost 10 years), as well as a dainty gold evil-eye necklace and a gold watch. I completed the look with a sun-kissed tan 😉
These photos were taken at Soho Beach House’s Italian restaurant Cecconi’s. It was pretty magical.
I recently picked up this camel coat (trend alert!) from ZARA and am madly in love with it. Camel is one of my favorite neutrals for these colder months, and I love the sophisticated clean lines of it. I kept the look clean and chic with a thin black turtleneck (didn’t think I would own one past fourth grade!), my favorite black leggings, clear sunnies, and new silver and star-studded Crown sneakers. There are few things that I love more than a comfortable, chic sneaker. I loved the metallic on these ones, but I especially loved the little metal star stud detailing. There are no laces, so they are also super easy to slip into. This looks is so downtown New York to me, particularly Soho, which is why we went there to shoot this look! I felt very edgy and blended right in with the neighborhood 🙂

There is nothing more summery to me than a summer sundress! As soon as I laid my eyes on this bright whimsical floral print, I knew I had to have it. I love the yellow, the drop waist, and the subtle high low hem. I kept this look simple and casual by pairing it with my favorite metallic gladiator lace up sandals. I believe that metallics are the equivalent of neutrals. A sundress, like this one, is a closet staple to me because you can dress it up and down. If I switched into heels this look would be cocktail party ready.
It’s been fall like weather all weekend so far, but that won’t stop me from wearing a few final summer looks! Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day holiday!
