Red, White, & Nude

Red, white, and nude…one of my favorite color combinations because it really allows the red to “pop”. I bought this red leather jacket at Maje earlier in the spring, and it’s been a perfect transitional piece to wear into the fall. I love wearing it draped over my shoulders, and this white tie-front dress is perfect for layering. These nude lace-up cage sandals are the perfect complement for any look with a statement piece (but they are a little hard to put on!) I got them for my 26th birthday, so they are going on 3 years and I still love them. I also may own them in black, and you may be seeing them soon! I completed the look with mirrored clear sunnies (trend alert) and dark “Wicked” nail polish by Essie.

My birthday is tomorrow, and I am enjoying NYC’s 70 degree weather 🙂

Kate Spade Spring / Summer ’17 Must Haves

Below are some of my favorite must-haves from Kate Spade’s Spring / Summer ’17 line! I must say I am embarrassed that this post has been sitting in my “Drafts” folder since May! Enjoy the eye candy. I love her whimsical designs!

Happy almost Labor Day holiday!

Elena Kriegner Fine Jewelry Campaign

I am so excited to share with you some photos I did for a campaign with renowned jewlery designer, Elena Kriegner! Elena is an artist, and you know this immediately by looking at any of her gorgeous and unique pieces. Her distinct style involves changing pieces that can be worn in multiple ways. The jewelry is hand crafted from the finest and highest quality materials, with each gemstone being individually selected by Elena herself. Elena started jewelry designing in her Austrian village when she was a child, and she is living her dream. After our photo shoot along the Hudson River, I loved visiting her Chelsea studio and seeing where she creates her jewelry (pictures below). My favorite pieces are the ones inspired by her travels and nature: seashells and the ocean.

Please use the discount code “W4STREET” to enjoy 30% off of your next purchase by visiting her website here. Plus, you can also check out all of the pictures we did together for the shoot, which are now live on her site!

Barbados: Bare feet, Braids, & Bougainvilleas

This weekend’s girls getaway in sunny Barbados was the perfect setting to wear some of my favorite beach pieces. Also, there was a real boardwalk! All white is one of my favorite looks for the beach, it is crisp and clean and feels very luxe! This Rebecca Taylor white tiles embroidery coverup tunic is lightweight and very comfortable. I love the detail of the eyelet lace and mirrored embroidery, the winged arms, and cinched waist. A go-to tunic is a closet staple in my opinion, as they are very versatile and easy to wear and pack. I paired this look with a white fedora, my new black bikini from American Apparel, and cat-eye sunglasses I bought from a street vendor in New York City. I completed the look with a red mani pedi, a side French braid, and bare feet. Enjoy the bougainvilleas, possibly my favorite flower…they remind me of Thailand.

Lace Shift Dress

I had so much fun styling and shooting this vintage-inspired look in the West Village. I paired a mini lace shift dress (also a LWD!) with nude strappy sandals, funky sunglasses, and my new Lulu Guinness snakeskin lip clutch. Shift dresses are great because they are so versatile. I dressed this one up with heels, and I could also pair it with flats and a cross-body bag for a more casual look. This lace shift dress is perfect for brunch, a date, you name it. I particularly liked it because of the bigger lace printed flowers. They remind me of doilies! My friend Alex styled my hair, and it kind of reminds me of a Farrah Fawcett inspired look. We also went for a bright pink lip. It was fun to switch up my hair and makeup from my usual styling. This whole look costs under $100. Except for the lip clutch 🙂

I have had my eye on one of Lulu Guinness’ fun and whimsical classic lip clutches for some time now. I finally pulled the plug. It also doesn’t hurt that she has a boutique on Bleecker Street that I walk past all of the time.

As for the shoot, I am in a stoop phase. Enjoy the pics!

The LWD

The LWD (Little White Dress) is just as classic as the LBD. I actually prefer it! There is something so chic and summery about a sexy Little White Dress. Similar to its black twin, white dresses can be paired with amazing shoes and accessories. I recently picked up this simple white dress during ZARA’s sale (it was under $20!). I can easily dress it up for a cocktail party, as I did here by pairing it with occasion Jimmy Choos, or dress it down with a Panama hat and gladiator sandals. I love the V-strap feature and the layered top on this dress. A LWD is a closet staple, not to be overshadowed by the LBD.

Now let’s talk about these Jimmy Choos. They were a recent splurge and when I showed them to my friend she asked me “Where are you going to wear these though?” Exhibit A: My Dad’s surprise 60th birthday party in Chicago. I love the rope ankle tie and the gold fringe tassel details. These shoes would pair nicely with many different LWDs!

Off to the Middle East this evening. Have a great weekend! Xx
