Leopard Drop Waist Sweater Dress & Bright Rockstuds

One of my favorite prints to wear is leopard print, and I particularly love leopard print for fall. It’s so fun and whimsical! I got this drop waist sweater dress a few years ago at Ann Taylor Loft, and I love how flouncy it is (very fun to twirl in). It’s also work appropriate. I paired the look with my hot pink Valentino rockstuds to add a pop of color.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!

Ruffled Leopard Dress & Ally Pumps

I saw this ruffle leopard print dress on a coworker at work, and when she told me it was $35 from the WhoWhatWear collaboration at Target, I ordered one for myself! As you probably know, I love anything leopard print, especially if there are ruffles too! I like that this particular print is subtle- it does not scream “leopard” unless you really look closely. I also love that it is modest and has sleeves, it makes it the perfect dress for the office.

I paired my new dress with my new favorite black leather pumps from Ally. Ally designs comfortable heels for women, and I can wear these ones for hours at a time and not be in pain due to the arch and toe padding. The shoes haven’t launched to the public yet, but you can sign up early to be in-the-know at https://www.ally.nyc/signup. These pumps are a closet staple!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Business Casual with a Pop of Leopard

The look below is one of my favorite business casual work looks. I wore this outfit when I was a consultant at my former job, and also at my new tech startup job. I paired my favorite versatile cropped cut-offs with a soft tweed blazer and a trendy ivory bow-blouse underneath. I added a little pizazz to the outfit with these fun calf hair leopard pumps. The chunkier heel makes them a little bit more comfortable and easy to walk in. My starburst necklace and butterfly ring were loaned to me from Lunessa Designer Jewelry in Soho. I love a neutral, conservative outfit and then making it “pop” with fun accessories.

Leopard Skinny Jeans

In the frigid winter in New York City, sometimes it is just not realistic to wear a dress or skirt out at night that will expose your bare legs. Sometimes, ladies, we have to wear pants when we go out.

Last Friday night one of my best friends and I decided to head over to the Top of the Standard (The Boom Boom Room), notorious for enforcing strict dress codes. Also notorious for the Solange-Jay Z elevator incident. I decided to wear my new (fabulous!) 7 For All Mankind leopard skinny jeans, paired with a black pleated flowy blouse, a statement necklace, and my favorite Kate Spade nude pumps. I am a sucker for leopard print, and when I tried these jeans on it was sort of a joke. As it turns out, they are super comfortable, versatile (dress them up dress them down) and they are a statement piece in their own right. Every time I wear these jeans out, I get a lot of complements on them. Surprisingly, they elongate your legs, too, especially when paired with a great pair of stilettos.
