Today I am testing out a new format! I just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Bahamas with my friend Jeni. For the trip, I packed some of my favorite resort wear pieces! When I saw this gorgeous Calypso colorful embroidered and beaded tassel tie-front cover-up (that was a lot!) I had to have it. Calypso is one of my favorite resort wear brands, there stuff is so beautiful. I paired the look with my classic Panama hat, gold star lace up sandals (a Forever21 knockoff of Loeffler Randall), and cat eye sunglasses. A few girls even complemented me on the sandals when I was in line for wrist bands. I felt very glamorous and pool ready!
The last weekend of summer has officially passed, but it is still in the 90s in NYC, so I will continue to wear my summer pieces for as long as I can get away with! This Rebecca Taylor top is a few years old, and I love the feminine ruffles and paillette and beading embroidery. I paired it with skinny jeans and my favorite 80’s inspired slingback white and beige kitten heels (trend alert!)
I am en route back from a wedding in Vail, Colorado. Hope everyone had a great holiday!
Writing this post is bittersweet, as it was exactly one month ago to the day that Gwen and I were in St. Tropez living our best lives! I visited St. Tropez for the first time when I was 17 with one of my best friends from high school (Katalin!) so this trip brought back a lot of good memories for me. We loved exploring the cute shops in town, eating Tropezienne dessert overlooking the yachts in the harbor, and of course– the pool parties at the day clubs! We had a blast at a club that I remembered from 12 years ago, called Nikki Beach. They had the most fun pool party! We started our day at the Dior Cafe (who knew there was such a thing). It was pretty extra though- garden dining with umbrellas that spritzed fine mist as you as you ate. All of the food was Dior branded, which was pretty amazing, too!
For the day, I needed an outfit that could take me from breakfast in the town, to the beach, to the pool parties. I bought this Calypso St. Barth turquoise embroidered pom pom beach cover up a few years ago, and had been waiting for the most special occasion to wear it. I love the gorgeous beading and the big silky tassels. The pom poms are so fun and beachy, too! I wore the dress over a classic black string bikini, and completed the look with my big sunglasses and Panama hat. Next time I will need to find cuter shoes than my favorite Reef flip flops!

I had a super special NYE this year: I traveled to Israel for the wedding of my friends Alejandro and Maya! It was a beautiful wedding and evening. When packing for this trip, I wasn’t sure what to wear for a NYE wedding…in Israel…but I figured that I couldn’t go wrong with a black sparkly (NYE, duhh!) jersey sleeveless dress. I love all of the sparkly pailettes, and that this dress is very easy to wear. I kept this look easy and comfortably by pairing it with my trusty black strappy block-heeled sandals. I can walk, and dance, miles in these shoes…literally! I have had this black dress for 7 years, and I have worn it on several other NYE, and it is a classic dress that I can wear over and over again.
This year, my company, AppNexus celebrated its 10 year anniversary. To celebrate, they allowed us to have a Plus 1, so I brought one of my best friends who came in all the way from London: GRACIE! The theme was Gatsby and 1920s, and I was excited to dress up for the theme and had so much fun. I ordered this headpiece from eBay! They also sold it on Amazon, it’s an exact replica of one that was worn in the Gatsby film. I ordered the dress from French Connection (believe it or not). I had my eye on it for a while because I loved the fringe and the sparkly gorgeous detailing, and when this theme was announced I had to get it! It was perfect for the party, and I also would wear it again to a different cocktail party, wedding, etc. I completed the look with an old black ostrich feather bolero, and sexy strappy platform sandals- which made the ensemble a little bit 2017 🙂

I have been a little behind on my posts because the past few weeks have been pretty much all consumed with wrapping up Yoga School, but I am pleased to say that I was still able to dress up for a few fun holiday parties and I will share the looks now and in a few upcoming posts. I had my eye on this “snowflake” inspired Alice & Olivia dress for a while, and when my friend Jeni invited me to this party, it was the perfect excuse to dress up! I love dressing up, and I love holiday parties as an excuse to wear anything sparkly. I love the nude underlay of this dress, with the mesh beading on the top. There also is one layer of tulle. I really felt like a princess!
The dress was enough of a statement piece on its own, so I kept my accessories simple: my classic Louboutin “Decolettes”, a skinny black headband, and minimal jewelry.
Glitter!!! I had such an amazing night tonight at the QVC FFANY event, which featured a shoe salon where proceeds benefited cancer research. The evening started off with cocktails and appetizers, a shoe photography station for a shoe contest (amazing), and a photo booth. The shoe salon had various designers offering their shoes at half off. Guilty…I bought an amazing pair of boots! I attended the event as a guest of my collaboration partner Abbey Liebman and Bettye Muller shoes. Highlights included hearing Sam Edelman speak, and seeing Alexandre Birman win designer of the year. I even got to congratulate him on the way out 🙂 Oh! And randomly seeing Mandy Moore in the shoe salon. Girlfriend likes shoes just like the rest of us!
About a week ago, I saw this sequin and pailette Halston Heritage dress and I fell in love with it. I had no where to wear it, but I knew that I would someday! That day was tonight haha. The pink was perfect for a gala in support of cancer research. The work on this dress is exquisite. It includes a mixture of both sequins and pailettes in ombre shades of pink which fade from big (at the top of the dress) to little (towards the bottom). I got complements on it all night long. The dress has a lot going on, so I kept the look simple with my lucky black patent leather Christian Louboutins, simple hair, makeup, and jewelry.
Below are some of my favorite must-haves from Kate Spade’s Spring / Summer ’17 line! I must say I am embarrassed that this post has been sitting in my “Drafts” folder since May! Enjoy the eye candy. I love her whimsical designs!
Happy almost Labor Day holiday!
I am so excited to share with you some photos I did for a campaign with renowned jewlery designer, Elena Kriegner! Elena is an artist, and you know this immediately by looking at any of her gorgeous and unique pieces. Her distinct style involves changing pieces that can be worn in multiple ways. The jewelry is hand crafted from the finest and highest quality materials, with each gemstone being individually selected by Elena herself. Elena started jewelry designing in her Austrian village when she was a child, and she is living her dream. After our photo shoot along the Hudson River, I loved visiting her Chelsea studio and seeing where she creates her jewelry (pictures below). My favorite pieces are the ones inspired by her travels and nature: seashells and the ocean.

On Thursday night I attended the New York AIPAC gala at Terminal 5. AIPAC is an organization committed to strengthening, protecting, and promoting the US-Israel relationship. I couldn’t decide what to wear to the event, and it was also the same day as the Alice & Olivia Sample Sale, where I found this fabulous red beaded / studded dress! Sample sales are always funny, because you change in a fitting room with 20 other strangers and everyone gives their opinion. I was deciding between this dress and a whimsical lipstick-mascara printed dress, and the vote was unanimously 5 for 5 for this dress. I love the intricate cutout patterns, and the delicate beading. I can wear it in the summer, and also in the winter to holiday parties. It is very sophisticated! I paired this dress with one of my tallest pairs of patent leather peep toe stilettos. It was so good to see so many of my Poland friends at this event (almost been a year since that trip)! Later in the night I went to Ludlow House for its 1 year anniversary, and Questlove performed…which is a coincidence because exactly one year ago I attended a different gala with my friends Nic, Helene, and Steve, wearing an Alice and Olivia dress, with Questlove performing. June 15th must be a special day. Deja Vu!
