France Part 3, Antibes: Off-the-Shoulder Silk Waterfall Hem Dress & Classic Slingbacks

This post captures one of my absolute favorite memories from my trip to France. It’s always been a dream of mine to visit the world famous Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. Gwen and I pulled up to the perfectly manicured gates in our little black Cleo, where we were greeted by 4 valet men. After ensuring us that we knew that they did not cause the scratches on our vehicle (haha!) we stepped out and enjoyed the spectacular views from the hotel. My friend Gwen (in marigold Maje!) and I each enjoyed a glass of Whispering Angel rose as we looked out on the incredible infinity pool and the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. I will remember it forever!

For our fancy day out, I wore a new DVF silk off-the-shoulder (trend alert!) waterfall-hem printed dress. I love how the silk is so delicate and billowed in the wind. I kept the look simple, and chic, with a delicate gold necklace, oversized cat-eye sunglasses, and white and nude slingbacks. I love these white shoes- they are the perfect height and are comfortable, and the cut brings back major 80s vibes!

I miss the glamour and tranquility of this place…sigh! The last two photographs in this post are from Hotel Belles Rives…an also spectacular hotel on the drive to Hotel du Cap Eden Roc!

France Part 2, Cannes: Striped Maxi Dress, Panama Hat & Aviators

After Aix-en-Provence, we made a quick pit stop for the night in Marseilles, and then continued to Cannes. I have always been curious to see and explore Cannes, as it sounds so glamorous with the Cannes Film Festival! I remember looking at all of the movie stars in their billowing silk gowns on the French Riviera’s red carpet. While we ate some amazing meals in Cannes (a few pics below) and Gwen did some serious shopping damage, I think that I would be okay to skip it when I go back to the south of France. There were a lot of tourists, and a lot of cruise ships! I did love this summery striped maxi dress though- it felt very nautical to me. I paired the dress with my trusty Panama hat, and gold rim aviator sunglasses.

I love the mock-halter of this dress, as well as the easy tie at the front. This dress will be great to transition into fall with a leather jacket. It’s a perfect look for Los Angeles…or Cannes!

France Part 1, Provence: One-Shoulder Bow Detailed Striped Cotton Dress

Last Sunday I returned from an incredible nearly 2 week vacation in France! I met one of my best friends, Gwen, in Aix-en-Provence, and we road-tripped through the south. She was the photographer for all of these pics (thanks Gwen!) When I saw this one-shoulder swingy cotton dress, it screamed “Provence” to me! I love the striped pattern and the subtle bow detail on the shoulder. I am very into tea length dresses (trend alert!) this season. I completed the look with my favorite lace up espadrilles (they are 12 years old, from Banana Republic!), a red lip, dainty gold rings, and cat-eye sunglasses.

Aix-en-Provence was so charming, and one of my favorite places we visited. The lavendar fields also had me feeling like I was in The Sound of Music!
