Camel Coat

I recently picked up this camel coat (trend alert!) from ZARA and am madly in love with it. Camel is one of my favorite neutrals for these colder months, and I love the sophisticated clean lines of it. I kept the look clean and chic with a thin black turtleneck (didn’t think I would own one past fourth grade!), my favorite black leggings, clear sunnies, and new silver and star-studded Crown sneakers. There are few things that I love more than a comfortable, chic sneaker. I loved the metallic on these ones, but I especially loved the little metal star stud detailing. There are no laces, so they are also super easy to slip into. This looks is so downtown New York to me, particularly Soho, which is why we went there to shoot this look! I felt very edgy and blended right in with the neighborhood 🙂

Blue Velvet Booties, Raw Hem Jeans, Ruffle Sleeve Sweater

Thank you to all of my subscribers for reading my blog! I wanted to send a little note and apologize that my latest posts for the past few weeks were not sending you an email. WordPress had a glitch, which has been restored. Please be sure to check out the posts from these weeks though, I kept up with posting regularly, for the most part! There are some holiday party and NYE looks (I know that sounds ancient).

So, the below look is really a fall look that I have been meaning to post, but I think that it transitions well into winter. This ruffle-sleeve sweater is a variation on the popular bell sleeves (trend alert!). I also love the mock turtleneck, and the soft dove gray color of this sweater. I kept this look current with raw hem denim, and possibly my favorite trend of these colder months: velvet booties (trend alert!). When I saw this Nine West pair, I had to get them…I loved the rich deep blue velvet, the button detailing (very Victorian), the round toe, and the interesting shape of the heel. I completed the look with my favorite clear plastic sunnies. I love these because they go with everything!

ALLY Shoes Video Shoot

Right before the holidays I shot a video collaboration with ALLY shoes. ALLY shoes are designed for comfort, with extra arch and toe support. The shoes are elegant, sleek, and sexy. They pair with anything. For the shoot, I wanted a professional look. I went with sophisticated all black! Black tank, oversized blazer (a new purchase which I love), black leggings, and of course, my ALLY heels. I completed the look with gold jewelry: a gold bangle and my favorite statement lion necklace!

ALLY shoes just launched their website (here:(http://www.ally.nyc/), and for a limited time you can receive $40 off by using my code, W4ST.

NYE Wedding in Tel Aviv: Little Black Sparkly Dress

I had a super special NYE this year: I traveled to Israel for the wedding of my friends Alejandro and Maya! It was a beautiful wedding and evening. When packing for this trip, I wasn’t sure what to wear for a NYE wedding…in Israel…but I figured that I couldn’t go wrong with a black sparkly (NYE, duhh!) jersey sleeveless dress. I love all of the sparkly pailettes, and that this dress is very easy to wear. I kept this look easy and comfortably by pairing it with my trusty black strappy block-heeled sandals. I can walk, and dance, miles in these shoes…literally! I have had this black dress for 7 years, and I have worn it on several other NYE, and it is a classic dress that I can wear over and over again.
