Below are some of my favorite must-haves from Kate Spade’s Spring / Summer ’17 line! I must say I am embarrassed that this post has been sitting in my “Drafts” folder since May! Enjoy the eye candy. I love her whimsical designs!

Happy almost Labor Day holiday!

LulaRoe Classic Tee

There aren’t many more days left this summer where I can wear white jeans! This classic tee goes perfectly with the white denim, and it’s such an easy look. The tee is from LulaRoe and is so cozy and comfy! It’s also great for layering. I paired the pretty teal color with my favorite orange fringe necklace (trend alert…last summer ha!) I love the “yoga” vibes from the necklace. I completed the look with my favorite espadrille wedges.

LulaRoe Patterned Leggings

I just returned from an amazing beach weekend in Ocean City, New Jersey with one of my best friends from high school, Katie! Katie is now a consultant for Lula Roe clothing, and I have to admit that Lula Roe leggings are THE most comfortable leggings I have ever worn. I own several pairs. They come in one size fits all, and they are so soft and stretchy. I loved the fun blue and yellow pattern on the ones I am modeling below. I also love that I can burst into spontaneous yoga poses in them! I paired my leggings with a black tank and jean jacket. Casually chic!

Scalloped Edge Top

Below is one more look from my trip to Montauk a few weekends ago. It was my first time to Montauk, and now that I have been I feel like I know more of what the “style” is there. This look would have fit in better in Southampton šŸ˜‰ Regardless, there is nothing more summery than white jeans. They are so clean and fresh and chic! Plus, you can pair them with so many fun tops…they are like a canvas! For this reason, I consider them a closet staple. I paired my white jeans with a favorite scalloped edge (trend alert!) top that I almost wore for the 4th of July. I love the feminine detailing of the scalloped trim, and I have also loved all of the scalloped detailing we saw on bathing suits this season (Marysia swimwear, anyone?)

I completed this look with white cat-eye shades to make the red top “pop”, and gold metallic star lace-up sandals. Even though our first day was gloomy, it was such a fun weekend.

Montauk Beach Day: Halter Double-Slit Maxi Dress

I purchased this maxi halter dress at the start of the summer, and I could not wait to wear it in the Hamptons! I love the neutral colors, the subtle tie-dye, and most of all the double-slit. I paired this dress with a bright pink triangle bikini, and new cat-eye white sunglasses (had been crushing on white sunnies all summer). This was my first trip to Montauk, and it was an absolute blast.

Yellow Ruffled Swiss Dot Midi-Dress

I picked up this yellow ruffled swiss-dot midi dress (midi dresses- trend alert!) at H&M in June, and I brought it to Europe with me. I love the length of it, the soft dots, the baby yellow, and the feminine ruffles. It was perfect for exploring town, and the beautiful lookout points in Lagos. I remember it was so HOT this day! I paired the look with my favorite boater hat (trend alert) and clear-framed mirrored sunnies. I purchased the straw woven beach bag in town.

Crochet & Pom Pom Beach Coverup

I am missing Lagos today! It was two weeks ago that I was there, and it was a dream place. The sun was HOT though. For the gorgeous rocky beaches, I paired this black crochet and pom pom beach coverup with a Panama hat, and a new straw tote that I bought in the local town. Eye protection is important too, and my clear framed mirrored sunnies completed the look. I think that a cute beach coverup is a staple in any woman’s closet. They come in handy more than you might think!

In terms of the beach, the seashells were on point! Had so much fun looking for shells and even made a friend doing so.

French Bridesmaid Duty in Strapless Tulle

It was such an honor (and so much FUN) to be a bridesmaid in one of my best friend’s weddings in France. She was the most relaxed bride ever! She let all of her bridesmaid pick whatever dress they wanted to wear. She said “Wear your favorite dress!” (how cool). I opted for this strapless soft dove gray tulle dress by Jenny Yoo, because I love tulle and this was a good excuse to wear it. All of the bridesmaids got our hair done at a charming local hair salon. There were two women doing hair, who spoke very little English, and an older lady in the salon who was very amused by all of the bridesmaids. One of my favorite memories is when the photographer (one of the other bridesmaid’s brothers) had to translate “bigger curls” to the hair dresser for another bridesmaid. I picked these wildflowers for my hair, and was pretty pleased with the turnout. You instantly feel more special when you have flowers in your hair! I paired my dress with my black strappy block sandals. They are the perfect height to walk easily (or dance!) and I wore them the entire night. The block heel also came in handy for an outdoor wedding.

The final picture is of the bride and her father in a carriage on their way to the chapel. I miss this fairytale French wedding!

French Lemons

Is there anything more French-countryside than a lemon print? I didn’t think so. I bought this lemon print (trend alert!) peplum (trend alert!) top in the spring, and I have enjoyed wearing it all summer. It’s cotton and light, and goes nicely with jeans, white denim, or cut-off shorts. I paired this “fresh” look with white denim and my favorite espadrilles (which, by the way, I have had for 5 years!) They are by Steve Madden but Stuart Weitzman also makes a similar pair. I topped off the look with my favorite clear-framed mirror sunnies and gold bar bracelet.

Polka Dots for a French Countryside Rehearsal Dinner

I have always been a polka dot lover. When one of my best friend’s, Helene, got married in Normandy last weekend, and the rehearsal dinner and wedding were at a French countryside estate with a theme of “garden festive”, I had the perfect excuse to wear my favorite new dress! I love that this dress is sleeveless with an elegant high-neckline and sash. I specifically knotted the sash instead of tying it in a bow, because I liked that this was a little more sophisticated. I also was drawn to this dress because of the size of the polka dots. I love that they are bigger and not small dots. I knew that the rehearsal dinner would be outside, so I packed my trusty block heel sandals, easy and practical for walking on gravel and in the yard. This black and white dress called for minimal jewelry, but a dash of color, so I wore a red lip. Is there anything more summery than polka dots on a warm summer night?

This dress can also be worn to the office with a black blazer (to take a page out of Kate Middleton’s past fashion looks!)

This was the start of a fairytale wedding weekend! More to come.
