Tropical Destination Wedding Look: Part 3

I love halter dresses and tops, and I think that they are flattering on many women. However, I have been specifically trying to find a high-neck halter for a long time now. I love the retro-twist around the neck, it reminds me of Cher and the 70s! I like that high-neck halters are glamorous and feminine without needing to show cleavage. The floral print on this one is so fun, and I thought it was perfect for a tropical destination wedding. I also like the uneven cut of the hem, it’s very ethereal and different. Jill Stuart never let’s me down! I paired this look with nothing except for a red lip- no jewelry, and no shoes. The dress has a lot of different things going on, so I did not want to distract the focus off of it. It’s hard to believe it’s the end of August already, and it is more humid now in NYC than it was in St. Croix!

Tropical Destination Wedding Look: Part 2

For the second part of the tropical destination wedding series here, I wanted to focus on beach wear! I love this gorgeous, beaded, and sheer cover up that I lounged around in all day at the beach the day of the wedding. It is just the right amount of skin for a beach tunic, and the beading and mirror beads feel so exotic. I paired this intricate cover up with a straw brimmed Panama hat and a favorite pair of gold rimmed sunglasses. No shoes needed! I think that every woman should have at least one go to beach tunic or cover up for the beach or the pool…it’s a closet staple. As an added bonus, on the day I wore this tunic I saw baby sea turtles hatching on the beach! It was absolutely amazing. This tunic is good luck.

Tropical Destination Wedding Look: Part 1

Two weekends ago I traveled to beautiful St. Croix for my friends Natalia and Tom’s wedding. I have a lot of good memories in St. Croix, and I brought my travel buddy Alex as my plus 1. (Last year she brought me to Santorini…we travel well together ha). For the wedding, I knew I would want to wear something tropical and resort wear style. I had my eye on this dress all last summer at ZARA (I know…) and in August I scooped it up. I love the bright yellow hue, the winged, cape sleeves, and most of all the open back. A lady’s back is one of my favorite areas to show off, especially when you’re tan! You don’t need cleavage to be sexy- focus on the other side! I paired this dress with my favorite black fringe statement earrings, from H&M. Tropical destination ready! Thanks to Alex for taking my pics this weekend. More to come.
