Not Your Grandmother’s Lace & Pearls

I love lace. I naturally gravitate towards it in shops, and I own way too many lace pieces (just ask my Mom)! In my defense, there is something so feminine and elegant about it. Plus, you can dress it with pearls and peep toes for a girly look, or pair it with leather and hardware for an edgier look. For me, the more delicate and intricate the lace, the more I love it. In the look below, I paired a new favorite neon yellow lace skirt with a simple camel sweater and a chunky pearl statement necklace. Not only is the pattern of this particular lace beautiful, but I love how the bright neon color is so unexpected. The neon color calls for a quiet top. The pearl cluster necklace is a modern, edgier take on traditional strands and goes nicely with the skirt. Of course, my favorite nude pumps made the cut. I promise I own other shoes! This look is office ready. Not your grandmother’s lace and pearls… w4street.com 11 w4street.com 13 w4street.com 14 w4street.com 12 w4street.com 9 w4street.com 10
